The mover's diet
I haven't been posting because of a month-long preparation for moving to Holland for a year. As a result: no cooking, no new recipes, no great chowhound-type finds, no waffles! I gotta say, my diet really suffers when stressed and moving seven years' worth of stuff out of the house. A breakdown of what we've been eating:
- some fried mushrooms at Kidd Valley when I got lunch for our movers (hey, I had to get those guys something, just for moving the 500-pound piano out of the house)
- frites with peanut sauce, courtesy of my co-workers for my going-away-to-Holland (thanks guys!)
- pizza at my daughter's soccer party
- my fave bbq, Jones Barbecue, on the way to see my friend's new house
- Top Pot Doughnuts after some heavy duty cleaning
So, in essence, FRIED. A great way to prepare for famous fried Dutch snacks. :)
I'll be back on point after we get there. So stay tuned for lots of Europe updates. Tot ziens!
