Delicious ramen... that's 4,000 years old
Archaeologists have literally unearthed a 4,000 year old bowl of noodles. Kyle said the NPR story goes like this: 4,000 years ago, a guy was sitting down to eat a bowl of noodles when an earthquake hit, followed by a flood. The bowl of noodles overturned and were covered by the bowl, then covered by the silt. Apparently, when archaeologists discovered it, they snapped a photo and the noodles turned to dust with exposure to the air. The NPR story caption says they look almost "edible". Uh, to who? Not me!
I guess that settles it though. I mean 4,000 years? It's probably safe to say the Chinese did invent the noodle.
 Mmmmm, pho....
