Slice into a mango
I can't wait to get one of these new devices-- a mango slicer! It's about time someone came up with this. I can't count the number of times I've been cutting into a Manila mango (the only kind I like to eat) and have wished that I could have something that could get around that pesky pit. I usually really hate one-use tools (Alton Brown has the same attitude: he has even done a show on building your own smoker out of terra cotta pots. Genius!) But if you eat a lot of mango, this is worth the extra space in the drawer. Even the New York Times was happy about this. Thanks OXO!
